Asmita Poddar

I am currently a Software Engineer at Google.

Before this, I was at Amazon, as a part of the Alexa Text-to-Speech team, and the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team, providing Apache Kafka as a fully managed service.

I have graduated from Green Templeton College at the University of Oxford with a Masters (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science. I also spent a year doing ML research at the Institute of Data Science, National University of Singapore. 

I am deeply drawn to the idea of multi-disciplinary collaboration. I am passionate about using machine learning to build large scale products and services.
Today, deploying ML models to production is one of the biggest challenges that the industry faces.
With my multi-facetted experience in machine learning and software engineering, I am keen to build the models, tools and platforms to put ML powered products in the hands of customers seamlessly.
